Frank - President, Music Operations, Warner Brothers Pictures As
the President of Music Operations for Warner Bros. Pictures, Doug Frank is involved
in all aspects of music, ranging from the score to the soundtrack album. He has
supervised the music on such feature films as "The Bodyguard," all of
the Batman films, the Lethal Weapon series, "City of Angels," "Space
Jam," the Harry Potter series, the Matrix trilogy and "Charlie and The
Chocolate Factory." As
the former head of music for WB Television, Mr. Frank was responsible for establishing
the musical identities of shows such as "Growing Pains," "Murphy
Brown" and "China Beach." The
rebirth of Warner Bros. Animation gave Mr. Frank the opportunity to contribute
to the Studio's great history of animation and animation scores. Composers hired
for animation projects have consistently won Emmy Awards for WB Animation. Presently,
in addition to his work with feature film and animation, Doug Frank is a consultant
for the WB Network. He is also serving as a National Trustee for NARAS (National
Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences). Mr.
Frank began his musical career as a studio musician, following a formal education
in music at Brooklyn College. He has composed scores for television and co-wrote
the musical "Marilyn: An American Fable," which ran on Broadway in 1983.
Mr. Frank is also a successful songwriter whose songs have been recorded by many
artists, including Dionne Warwick and Placido Domingo.
