The PlanterPlus® differs from traditional pots in many ways. The pot itself
is made out of a long lasting durable and attractive plastic with a unique sealed
dual wall construction. The PlanterPlus® can be filled with water through
an inlet hole located on the top of the planter which is then closed with a small
cap to minimize evaporation. Holes located in the bottom interior of the pot provide
for the enclosed irrigation system that is not exposed to the air. Interestingly,
water consumption is regulated by the plant itself as it "drinks" using
a process called capillary action from the soil that is moistened from below.

Erika Quinn creates artwork
that express her love of culture, music and everyday life. Born and raised in
Detroit, Michigan she completed formal art training throughout her youth at the
College for Creative Studies. She finally discovered her passion for oil/acrylic
painting at the University of Michigan where she obtained her BFA in 2002.
Besides personal feelings, experiences, and nature, Erika's influences also
includes artists such as: Frida Kahlo, Aaron Douglas, Donald Calloway Jr., Jon
Onye Lockard, Elizabeth Catlett, Jacob Lawrence, and Tyree Guyton. Through her
artwork, Quinn hopes to share her talent as well as create an awareness and recognition
of women within the Fine Arts.
